"The Cat Who Walks by Himself"

She is the Cat...

CAROLYN BLOUNT

She is the cat who walks by herself
And forges a path of clarity
Through the murky woods.
Her quiet padding
Weaves a trail of light
For those to follow who dare
And for those to know who care.
Our history better revealed
May stop repeating.
The sound of downtrodden
Swirls up like leaves
From gusts in her shadow.
She is the cat who walked by herself,
But whose paws now gather
Legions.
