Doug Tanoury's poems: Birch Woods | Brush Strokes

Brush Strokes

DOUG TANOURY

Cut flowers on the
Table simple
Blossoms

Of daffodils and tulips
In a green glass
Vase

Womanly gestures soften
The hard edges
Of me

Like a rose pink or pale
Lavender twilight
Washes

The streets changing
Perspective
By

Shifting shades cut flowers
Brush soft against me
A vision

Simple and touching like
A woman wearing a
Straw hat
